This is not the 1st rehab I've been to. I had nearly 5 years clean from math and heroin. Then I had a relapse. I was ashamed and hurt the people I cared about most. Once again was where I never wanted to be. Recovery village isn't a day spa, though it is nice. This is a place with very smart people who care to try and help a helpless person. Yes they have some rules that piss everyone off, but that is life isn't it? You learn to deal with simple minor rules and deal with them sober. Like with most treatments for addiction you will get out what you put in. If you or your loved one needs help you wont do much better than recovery village. I now have over 4 months clean andy life is getting back together. Dont waste another minute destroying yourself. Make yourself a success story and start at recovery village.

If you’re afraid or worried about this place as I was with being my first time going to rehab DONT BE! Sometimes you just have to step out on faith and just go for it as I did and this is a great place to be. I’ve never had a different outlook on things as I do now and they’re ones to take partial credit.. Very helpful, resourceful, and UNDERSTANDING seeing being understood is the main thing you want. Being understood for the wrong choices you’ve made in life and they will either help or teach you how not to go back. Be ready for their extensive, fun and very helpful learning curriculum for this is not a “regular rehab” facility. By far one of the best experiences in my lifetime as I continue on down my road to success. I wish you all and knuckle heads as well the best in life lol. -SHALOM

I truly recommend this facility if your suffering with addiction, you Won't regret it. I was nervous and scared, but I was more scared to continue drinking and not getting this resolved. Recovery Village at Palmer Lake was very helpful for my recovery. They gave me the right resources and knowledge to continue with my recovery. They took good care of me, when I first walked in the facility and when I left the facility. They have all the right proper staff to keep you safe and healthy while you stay to fulfill your recovery. They have all the stuff you need to feel comfortable in the facility.

My choice to do treatment at recovery village was the best thing I could’ve ever done in my life! The facility was awesome and the staff were really great as well. Never really thought rehab would work because I’m such a hardheaded person but this place help me get past all my issues I had, and fixed my addiction. If you’re looking for a place to really recover from your addiction and heal you from your past problems this is the place!

Having tried other options in the past I knew after getting a DUI that I needed a more substantial program if I was going to get, and stay, sober. I had been an on and off member of AA, which is a great support group but in my opinion does not offer the depth of work that many of us truly need. My research led me to the Recovery Village at Palmer Lake and I attended their 30 day inpatient rehab program. I recommend their inpatient program, every aspect of it, 100%. They offer a clean, well run facility, excellent classes which really help you delve into they depths of who you are and why you have an addiction problem and most importantly how to deal with it. They offer some classes off site, they have great facilities for recreation and they have wonderful cooks who provide three great meals a day. I have been clean and sober every day since the day I walked through the front door. Thanks, Recovery Village !

I stayed here or 10 days (not the correct amount of time) Overall I thought is was a good program. My problem with it is their lack of use of suboxone and withdrawals of fentanyl opioid patch! I was on the patch or 15 years and was prescribed over the legal limit by my dr. so I wanted to detox in this center close to home. They put me on suboxone starting the first day, and gradually reduced the dosage each day. This is not how suboxone is suppose to be used as I have used it before. You are suppose to stay on suboxone as an opioid replacement for as long as necessary week, months years, if necessary! I did not detox while in the center, because I had so much fentanyl built up in my system I had weeks of reserve. but on the 8th day they took me off suboxone when I was just starting to go through withdrawals, my body finally ran out of reserve and caught up with me on day 8. I started feeling sick, sweaty, and in pain, I tried to explain it to the nurses and doctors that this is not how suboxone is to be used and they refused to change their mind on their process. It was so ignorant of them! I knew more about Suboxone then they did! As I started to go through withdrawals, they needed my bed and kicked me out of the program. They did not understand I had not gone through withdrawals yet so I could not fully cooperate with their program? They were getting paid $7-8000 plus a day and wanted me to clean my room in between new patients going through withdrawals while I was in detox! Food was not good; I kept asking people "is it just me or does this food taste bad"? Most staff people were sincere, some interns were not sincere, they wouldn't give me dessert while in detox, the chef said? what the hell! Nurses on night shift did not have authority to adjust meds should a patient be having a difficult time that night! Wake Up about the SUBOXONE program for opioid addiction! DOCTORS OLD FASHIONED WHO RUN THIS PART OF THE PROGRAM! Their success rate is 25-35% ! Well then learn about the SUBOXONE program for OPIOID ADDICTION to be continued after detox and on going! You don't just release someone and give them no tools going forward! BEWARE! HIPPA RIGHTS VIOLATED BY DIRECTOR OF NURSING!Over crowding! 3 people in a regular hotel size room!

I loved it! Incredibly helpful, very professional yet very caring. Dr. Shaik was so caring and very professional and not hard on the eyes, yes I had a small crush lol, sorry doc! I would highly recommend Recovery Village in Palmer Lake to anybody who suffering with any kind of addiction .

The facility is well appointed and the professional and clinical staff are qualified, righteous people. I would recommend anyone needing help navigating substance use via trauma to consider Palmer Lake. The setting is serene, overlooking the foothills of the Front Range in Colorado Springs area. I did an extensive amount of research trying to find a worthy place to heal and am glad I chose Palmer Lake.

Honestly, I believe RV @ Palmer is the best facility in the state of Colorado to begin ones road to Recovery. I am forever grateful to my lovely experience(s) there. The setting is beautiful, the food is good, detox is as pleasant as one could hope. It truly is a wonderful program and better than the two I went on to do next, overall.

My experience at The Recovery Village Palmer Lake was exceptional. The staff was friendly and caring. The Mountain Range near the facility is breathtaking. The various groups that were tailored to my recovery needs were definitely informative and focused on healing and wellness. Cuisine was great, also! Every meal made fresh and a variety of options!
